Yarrabee Native Garden

50 West Gateway, Lara, Victoria, 3212

Yarrabee is a private five acre garden located in lovely picturesque town of Lara, which is open by appointment only. The You Yang’s provide a backdrop to this large roaming garden. It is located just 45 minutes from Melbourne.

The entrance of Yarrabee is flanked on both side with stone walls and two bottle trees. Upon entering you will find the property encompassing a wide range of habitats and plants spread around the spacious, but easily-travelled, grounds. Featuring a mixture of natives and exotics plus three ponds, a waterfall and a dam.

From bare ground the owners have developed a beautiful garden all spaced out over the five acres that is now an enchanting place to visit and explore. There are many surprises as one walks around Yarrabee, as the gardens are designed to give visitors an indication of how various plants perform and grow.

Group bookings, garden clubs and coaches are welcome with special packages available that include morning/afternoon tea.
