Bairnsdale Bed and Breakfast is an 1870s Victorian period house perched high on a hill overlooking the surrounds of countryside rolling down to the Mitchell River. A million-dollar playground and large skate park are situated in front of the property.
The B&B has four bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, and three bedrooms have views of the surrounding countryside with access to the long front verandah. Morning sunshine allows guests to enjoy the warmth on the front verandah.
The front yard is formally landscaped with Mr Lincoln standard red roses, Lynley standard lilac roses, mature camellias and blue Plumbago. The rear courtyard is paved and is an ideal place to sit in the afternoon sunshine.
Off-street parking is available for eight vehicles and being next to the Bairnsdale Police Station, safety and security is no issue.
Walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants, Mitchell River Walk and the Rail Trail for cycling/walking.
Discounts are given for repeat guests and those who stay for longer than two nights. Bed linen and toiletries are supplied, along with a cooked breakfast for guests. A continental breakfast is also available.
