The Orbost Christmas Eve Festival is the highlight of the social calendar for residents and visitors to Orbost over the Christmas period.
The festival occurs in the main street shopping precinct, and provides displays by various local organisations such as the SES, Coast Guard and Fire Brigade; games and rides such as jumping castles, merry-go-round and bucking bull; food and drinks including BBQ sausages, fairy floss, and popcorn; and stalls of locally made goods such as craft-work, jewellery, and honey.
The highlight of the evening is a fireworks display at the local Forest Park which starts as the darkness falls.
Best of all, the festival is free to all and starts at 6 pm.
