Learn how to make summer jams and jellies. Pick your own fruit from the Jacican Kitchen garden, prepare and cook three different summer preserves to take home. Bottle this year’s harvest using the Vacola method. Learn the differences between jam, jelly and marmalade.

This class is suitable for beginners as well as advanced cooks who wish to learn new skills and techniques. You will learn that preserving is not as hard as you think. I will teach you techniques that you can use to impress everyone with your new jam making skills.
Included is an apron and gardening gloves to use during the class are supplied along with a take-home recipe booklet.
Afternoon tea will be served in this summer preserve cooking class including tea, coffee, and homemade lemonade.
You do not need to bring anything. Jacican supplies everything that you will need to pick and make your own summer preserves, jams, and jellies. They just ask that you wear closed-toe shoes as you will be outside in the kitchen garden for part of the class.
