Learn how to make green tomato relish, three-color zucchini relish, and curried zucchini relish and bread and butter pickles. Pick your own vegetables from the Jacican kitchen garden, prepare and cook each relish. Learn the differences between chutneys, relishes, sauce and pickles.
My summer preserves, relish cooking class is hands-on. You will make all the relishes as a group and take home the class bounty.
This class is suitable for beginners as well as advanced cooks who wish to learn new skills and techniques. I will teach you techniques that you can use an impress everyone with your own range of relishes.
Included is an apron and gardening gloves to use during the class are supplied along with a take-home recipe booklet.
You do not need to bring anything. Jacican supplies everything you will need to pick, and make your own summer preserves, relish. They just ask that you wear closed-toe shoes as you will be outside in the kitchen garden for part of the class.
