Chris Howlett performs Bach’s most famous Cello suites in an intimate and evocative recital. Bach by Candlelight is a performance that verges on the sublime – The minimalism and simplicity of candlelight and flickering shadows enhances Howlett’s performance of arguably the most famous solo cello works ever written. Throughout the journey Chris shares insight into the history of Bach, the suites and the challenges of performing them – making the concert accessible to both novice and the classical music lover.
