Glenmaggie and District Boat Club, Glenmaggie Road, Glenmaggie, Victoria, 3858
24 Jan 2021

The VOC Marathon Series is back. The first one was awesome, but the next one will be even bigger.

Some subtle changes are on the cards this year to keep it seamless. There will be a reduced minimum limit of two senior drivers per team has been mooted as well.

The marathon event is an opportunity for individual drivers and teams to return to the more traditional form of powerboat “Trials” that the sport was founded on. It is an event that rewards consistency, planning, and preparation and encourages teamwork.

The event is open to all J3 (15HP) Junior competitors and 25/550cc senior teams. Juniors may participate with one or two drivers per boat, senior teams must have a minimum of two drivers. J3 trials will be 30 minutes and the seniors trial will be three hours, each senior driver must be in the seat for a minimum of 30 minutes.

Special Awards will be presented on the day as will a winners trophy for first, second, third places. Followed by a social evening to share stories.
