Castlemaine Fringe Festival 2021 - in true Fringe fashion, promotes and celebrates art, artists, and artistic experiences, and provides interesting and engaging opportunities for local audiences and visitors.
A significant challenge has been to consider and plan for how art participation can be achieved in a COVID safe environment. Not scared of a challenge - Reactivate the Streetscape is the answer.
REACTIVATE the Streetscape is a major feature of the CFF 2021 program – a visual arts feast of art installations in local business windows presented as an inclusive and accessible walking/riding tour of Castlemaine that audiences can visit day or night for the duration of the festival, with the town centre coming alive with art windows, performance installations, roving street performers and live music.
After what has been a tough year Reactivate has been planned as a way to benefit us all - artists, traders, audiences and community.
