18 Apr 2020

Ever wanted to learn the potters wheel and make your own gorgeous bowls and cups? During this three hour workshop you will learn and practice the basics of using the potter's wheel with Dawn Whitehand.

You will learn clay preparation, clay centring, making a bowl, making a cylinder, slip and carving decorative techniques.

Your teacher Dawn will demonstrate the techniques you need to achieve making your pots, and you will then have the opportunity to practice these making methods.

During the final hour of the workshop you will have the chance to decorate your pieces with coloured slips and carving decoration.

Your creations will remain at the studio to dry and for kiln firing.

Your fee covers studio access, tools and equipment, tuition, all materials and kiln firing of three finished pots. (you may pay extra firing fees for more pots if you choose).

The class is limited to eight participants so that plenty of time is available for your learning experience.

Due to current advice on public gatherings, please contact the host of this event to confirm it is proceeding as planned.
