Bendigo's wineries are spending the weekend of July 6 and 7 uncorking the secrets of how their wines are created.
Black Jack Wines, Sutton Grange Winery, Killiecrankie Wines, Sandhurst Ridge Winery, Connor Park Winery, Balgownie Estate and Mandurang Valley Winery are this year's participants in the region's annual Barrel Tasting Weekend.
The two-day event gives people a greater understanding of the processes involved in winemaking and the opportunity to taste wines maturing in barrels.
Winemakers take you on a tour of their barrel rooms, you will sample wines maturing in barrels, get a hint of the mystery and romance of winemaking, and explore the beautiful Bendigo wine region.

Each winery will conduct a barrel tasting session at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm on both days. Sutton Grange is Sunday only. Balgownie Estate is Saturday only.
