Slow down and admire the Begonia Garland that adorns the Town Hall. Featuring over 100 exquisite, hand-crafted and hand-painted bespoke Begonias accompanied by eight native birds, each made from paper clay.
Celebrated local Dr. Deanne Gilson, award-winning multimedia visual artist and proud Wadawurrung woman, created the Begonia Garland as a tribute to the festival. The Begonia Garland showcases the bright Begonia flowers that inspired Deanne as a young emerging artist three decades earlier at the Ballarat Begonia Festival Apex Art Exhibition.
