The City of Ballarat has commissioned six local artists to create the 12 Days of Christmas Windows to fill shopfronts and streets with Christmas joy and creativity.
Come and meet artist Samantha Thompson and hear the inspiration behind her windows: Three French Hens and Nine Ladies Dancing.
Samantha is an award-winning artist who enjoys printmaking and mixed media works, with pieces commonly focused around feminism, domestic arts and death. Her next exhibition will be held in Napier, New Zealand, in 2020.
Follow the trail of the 12 Days of Christmas Windows, starting with the Partridge in a Pear Tree at Central Square and continue down through the streets to 12 Drummers Drumming in the Bridge Mall.
