Established in 1998, Sutton Grange Winery was born from a lunch with local wine hero Stuart Anderson who acclaimed the site as perfect for vine growing. Almost two decades on, Sutton Grange Winery has cemented its position as one of Australia’s finest wine producers. A winery which is known for its stand alone rosé, acclaimed for its outstanding Syrah, and hailed for its experimentation in different varietals.
Sutton Grange is located on the southern edge of the Bendigo region, and for many years was known for its thoroughbred racing facility. The Sutton Grange vineyard is cultivated using organic and biodynamic methods, and the wines are traditionally handcrafted by winemaker Melanie Chester. The wines combine distinctive style and interpretation with their organically grown estate fruit creating wines that express the uniqueness and characteristics of the site. Producing two labels, Fairbank – the original name of the property in the 19th Century, and their Estate range.
The Sutton Grange Winery Cellar Door is open every Sunday of the year with live music, free wine tastings, and regional tasting platters, making it the perfect venue for your Sunday afternoon wine down.
- Sunday: 11:00am - 5:00pm
