Kept secure for many years for Defence purposes, the Villa will once again allow the public in to tour this magnificent home. One of Australia’s wealthiest mining magnates, George Lansell made his wealth from the New Chum reef and built his mansion on the top of it.
Learn the history of the villa and it's original owner, George Lansell. Guests will be treated to local food and wine while surrounded by rich Bendigo History and the beautiful architecture of the Villa itself.
Entry includes an indulgent array of local produce, wine and craft beer. Be entertained by classical music followed by an extensive tour of the Villa and it's surrounds. Duration is approximately three hours.

Situated in the historic Post Office, Bendigo Visitor Centre can help you sort out all your needs while you are here, including accommodation, shopping, dining, booking attractions and tours, and provide you visitor information, map and guide books.
They also have quality gifts and souvenirs, so it is a must stop during your Bendigo Visit. The Visitor Centre opens everyday from 9:00am to 5:00pm except Christmas Day.
