Come and see Deborah at work at Artist in residence.

Deborah is a Tasmanian based artist, maker and gardener. She believes that there is a creative spark in all of us that needs a little nurturing to fully develop. To be involved in a creative process, whether drawing, painting, gardening or the manual arts is very much part of leading a healthy and full life. Through writing, designing and teaching she encourages others to experience the joy of being able to say ‘ I made it’. She is committed to a lifestyle of making do, living simply, working with and close to Nature. Her current body of work features the motifs, birds and nests. The works explore the symbology, metaphor and universal meanings that the nest and bird are associated with. She works in a variety of mediums, paint, wood, textiles. Her work can be viewed on Instagram.
