Prepare to be spellbound as OZACT presents The Tempest, Shakespeare's timeless tale of magic, mystery and mayhem.
Prospero, the exiled duke of Milan, and his airy spirit Ariel feature in this story of revenge, romance, reconciliation and redemption. Caliban, a native servant of Prospero, plots his freedom as two offspring of rival rulers, Miranda and Ferdinand, fall in love in the unique and rugged setting, where Tom Pearce and Eva Carmichael, the two sole survivors of the shipwreck Loch Ard struggled ashore in 1878 to become a part of Australia's history.
Loch Ard Gorge is situated in the Port Campbell National Park, and is one of the highlights along the Great Ocean Road, with its sheer rock cliffs, stalactite caves, soft jewel like sands and beautiful natural ocean setting.
This unique production is full of suspense, high drama and broad comedy, embellished with exquisite costumes, and beautiful music. OZACT’s The Tempest promises an evening to remember.
