A Bach at Bright is a family and dog friendly three bedroom home set in a secluded garden and bush land setting, yet only a 10 minute stroll to downtown Bright.

This home features reverse cycle air conditioning and a lovely wood fire which creates warmth and ambience during the crisp winter months.

The large family lounge room has comfortable seating for eight, while there is the opportunity to enjoy some quiet time in the sitting room adjacent to the dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is compact but has all the equipment needed to cook nourishing food for your family and friends. The laundry has a washer and a dryer.

The queen sized master bedroom has an ensuite and the second bedroom features a triple bunk. In the bungalow/third bedroom a queen bed is provided as well as a private ensuite. All beds have new linen and mattresses.

An outdoor barbecue area has seating for eight. There is a dog door with access to a fenced dog yard, directly off the laundry. The large garden attracts wildlife and you may see native birds, kangaroos and wombats on the creek banks at the bottom of the garden.

A Bach at Bright welcomes pet dogs inside, but not on the beds or furniture. Any damage caused by your pet will incur costs.

Family room
Room capacity: 7

This large family room seats eight people in comfort and has views to the garden and the bush land on the banks of the Bakers Gully Creek, which runs through the property. Local wildlife such as native birds, kangaroos and wombats are regular visitors to the garden and adjoining bush. The room features a reverse cycle air conditioner as well as a wood fire (wood is supplied) and direct access to the large paved outdoor area with gas barbecue facilities and a dining table for six. Block-out blinds and double glazed windows keep the room toasty warm in winter and cool in summer. A color television, DVD/video player and numerous books ranging from murder mysteries to the lives of great cyclists and travel tomes are made available to guests. The house is decorated with artworks by talented Albury artist, Kerrie Bonnel and some of the paintings are for sale.

Master bedroom

The master bedroom features a new ensuite with walk in shower, toilet and double vanity basin. It has also recently received an upgrade with new linens and mattress. An electric blanket is available for those who feel the chill. Individual in-wall reading lamps are installed as well as shelving to store your electronic items while they charge. Their is plenty of individual hanging space for your clothes in the two new wardrobes. A floor rug takes the chill off the polished floor boards and you can read from the comfort of the silk upholstered bedroom chair that has views out of the window to the garden. A large block-out blind, double glazed window and gorgeous billowy curtains keep the warmth in and the heat out of of the room.

Bunk/second bedroom

The second bedroom is located in an alcove off the hallway, adjacent to the main bathroom. It features a new triple bunk bed with new linen and mattresses. There is a reading lamp on both the lower and upper bunk bed.

Bungalow/third bedroom
Room capacity: 2

This room is not connected to the main house and is a stand alone room. Access to the bungalow is via a covered walkway from the main house. The room features a queen bed with new linens and mattress, as well as an electric blanket. The room has a reverse cycle air conditioner. Clothes hanging and storage is provided. More storage is provided in the built in bedside tables. Roller blinds provide privacy and the windows are double glazed keeping the warmth in and the heat out. An ensuite (upgraded in February 2018) with a shower, basin and toilet is directly accessed off the bedroom. A small supply of toilet paper, soap and shampoo/conditioner is also available. This room is ideal for couples or a single wanting a little more space and privacy from the main house. It has direct access to the outdoor dining and barbecue area as well as the garden and the creek side bush-land.

Room capacity: 7

This is a compact but well designed kitchen that is fully quipped with all the utensils needed to cook nourishing and delicious meals for family and friends. There is a four burner gas stove, a rangehood and plenty of bench space for food preparation. The electric oven has roasting pans and baking trays provided. There is also muffin tins in the cupboards for those who want to bake. A dishwasher will handle all of your washing needs. New crockery, cookware and some of the utensils will cater for up to eight diners. There is a four slot electric toaster and an electric sandwich press also provided. A tall pantry will handle all of your groceries. Dishwashing liquid and cleaning agents are also provided for your use. There is seating for two at the kitchen bench and the dining table is located directly off the kitchen. The laundry with a washer, dryer, laundry sink and additional storage cupboards is located directly off the kitchen.

Dining/sitting area

The dining table is an antique French wooden table that has seen many a great party and delicious meal! It will seat eight people comfortably and eight cafe style chairs have been provided. It is located conveniently directly adjacent to the kitchen. A small, but comfortable lounge invites a lingering, relaxing sit. A wall mounted flat screen television has been positioned to allow guests who do not want to watch what is being played on the family lounge television with optional viewing. The room has reverse cycle air conditioning and a Nobo electric wall heater for those who prefer induction heating. The windows have been double glazed for guest comfort in winter and summer. The majority of artwork on the walls of A Bach at Bright have been produced by talented Albury artist Kerrie Bonnel and are available for sale. Further details are provided in a folder in the coffee table drawers.

The recently renovated (February 2018) main bathroom features a shower, bath, vanity basin and toilet. The shower head and plumbing was recently upgraded and you can expect a steady flow of warm water. Perfect after a hard day skiing, hiking or biking. All towels are provided and include bath towels, hand towels and bathmats. There is a small supply of toiletries provided. A wall heater takes the chill off the room during the winter months.

Garage and carport

A lock up single car garage is available and has the capacity to store pushbikes and ski gear if required. Access to the garage is via a manually operated roller door and a rear door that leads to the fenced dog yard, back verandah and back door. Guests are more than welcome to use the garage to house their dog if they prefer. Dogs are welcome to inside the house but not on the furniture or beds. If you leave the house your dog must go with you or be left outside int he fenced dog area. Any damage caused by your dog will be charged for. The carport comfortably houses a single car. There is access for a third vehicle on the pavement outside the garage and carport. Please do not drive your vehicle on the lawns as they will damage it and costs will incur.

Outdoor dining and barbecue area

This huge paved area has direct access from the family lounge area via a sliding glass door, the bungalow and also the kitchen. It faces the large garden and bush-land that populates the banks of Bakers Gully Creek, which flows at the bottom of the garden. It is a lovely spot to relax and dine outdoors during the warmer months of the year. A gas barbecue with food prep benches on either side provides plenty of room to prepare a warm weather barbecue. There is a wooden outdoor dining table and ample seating. Wood for use in the family lounge wood fire is also stored under the barbecue bench.
