The Bluff is a picturesque ridge just to the south of Mt Buller. The tour will ascend, traverse and descend this gorgeous rise on this hike. The first day is a leisurely stroll along the Howqua River, in preparation for the ascent on day two. On day three you cross The Bluff before descending the steep, rocky face down to the carpark, where the ride will wait to take you back to base for refreshments and debrief.
Who should choose this hike?
Up The Bluff is an easy to moderate hike. The days are short in distance, though the middle and third days definitely require hikers to focus and walk with confidence and surety. The technical challenge of the trek is low, though the descent on day three is steep and quite rocky. This is the hike for you if you are looking for a testing but rewarding introduction to multi-day hiking, as due to the short distances you are able to walk at an easy-going pace.
