Benalla Visitor Information Centre is a fully accredited Visitor Information Centre. Open Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm and weekends 10:00am to 4:00pm.
The Centre is the first point of contact for visitors to the region. The team of knowledgeable volunteers are there to assist you with advice on attractions, accommodation, retail and dining in Benalla. The volunteers are also able to assist on directions to surrounding regions, maps, visitor guides and merchandise sales.
The centre also houses the Costume and Kelly Museum which has a small entry fee. The Museum has an excellent display of Ned Kelly memorabilia, including the Green silk sash Ned was wearing when he was captured in 1880 during the siege at Glenrowan.
Local sons Weary Dunlop and Captain Hector 'Hec' Waller are fondly remembered in a display of some of their war time items. Costumes from different eras are also exhibited.
