The Palestinian Film Festival Australia is a social impact initiative dedicated to building intercultural understanding and to promoting Palestinian art and culture in a multicultural Australian context.
Showcasing the very best of Palestinian cinema from around the world, the Festival is proud to present its 2018 program filled with gripping, award-winning features, shorts and documentaries screening in Sydney, Hobart, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Pert and Adelaide.
This year’s Palestinian Film Festival Australia design is inspired by Hisham’s Palace, an archaeological site in Jericho, Palestine. Jericho is about 10,000 years old and one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities.
This has been chosen as Hisham’s Palace window for its powerful historic, cultural and symbolic value in looking at Palestine’s past, present and future and reflecting on the 70th Anniversary of Al Nakba with continued hope and resilience.
