With Tibetan lama Dzogchen Rinpoche.
Many of us live our lives without asking ourselves what the real purpose of it is. We just keep going day in day out, following our routines and habits, attending to our families and children and work to provide for all that we accumulate. All of this keeps us so busy that we completely miss our purpose without even knowing it.
On a subtler level we are driven by our desire for success, power or recognition believing this is the purpose, or we try to maximise our comfort, safety, health, and happiness with pleasure being our main goal. However, even if we achieve this temporarily, we can never be sure to have it forever.
In this public talk, drawing on the Dzogchen Teachings, Dzogchen Rinpoche will point out that by recognising and following the real purpose of our lives, we will not only lead a truly meaningful and valuable life, we can also rest in everlasting happiness.
