Kensington Market
The Kensington Market was established to showcase the local talent that is alive and thriving in the Kensington and Flemington areas and surrounding precincts.
Held every third Sunday of the month at the well positioned and easily accessible Kensington Town Hall, this popular inner city market provides artists with a wonderful platform to display produce, perform and be an integral part of the community.
With a minimum of 60 speciality stalls, the market offers the public an eclectic mix of treasures from designer fashion and jewellery, woodwork, pottery and ceramics, and an array of visual art creations, all encompassed within a lively environment filled with great coffee and delicious foods.
The market offers a wonderful platform to shop with ease, have a bite to eat, and enjoy the activities on the day.
Kensington Market is focused on creating an ambient, relaxing, enjoyable space where talented folk can introduce the public to their wonderful wares, whilst providing a stress free shopping experience.
It is envisaged that the market will further enhance the fabric of an already vibrant and close knit Kensington/Flemington community, bringing people together to celebrate and embrace the diversity in the area and that community facilities that are available.
