The Australian Music Vault

100 St Kilda Road, Arts Centre Melbourne, Melbourne, Victoria, 3000

Created by Arts Centre Melbourne in collaboration with the music industry, the Australian Music Vault is a celebration of Australian contemporary music - its past, present and future.

The Australian Music Vault features a permanent free exhibition showcasing the Australian music story, interactive and digital experiences, iconic objects from the Australian Performing Arts Collection and an ongoing calendar of performances, education and public programs. It is a place to explore your love of music, revisit some of the big music moments of your life, share memories and discover the exciting new stories of today's Australian music scene.

Purchase an Australian Music Vault Mixtape card and curate your personalised Australian music playlist as you explore objects within the exhibition. When you leave, a Spotify playlist of your visit will be emailed to you.

The inaugural Australian Music Vault Patrons are promoter Michael Gudinski, music guru Ian 'Molly' Meldrum, Indigenous singer-songwriter Archie Roach, Melbourne's favourite diva, Kylie Minogue and songstress Tina Arena.
