It is your turn to be the Playtpus Keeper at Healesville Sanctuary on this unique tour with Oceania Tours.

A hands-on wildlife experience not to be missed and not to be forgotten.

You will have the opportunity to step into the shallow water of the ‘platypus play pool’ where it’s normally the keeper’s job to play, frolic, tickle and feed these little furry friends. Oceania Tours believe this can be up there with the highlights of a trip to Australia. Not just see but to interact with the amazing, unique and friendly (female) Platypus.

Please note there is only one encounter on days of operation and only for two people, so booking early is essential.

You have two options to choose from:

Option 1: Platypus encounter tour (PVPL1) Includes: Entry to Healesville Sanctuary and Platypus experience.

Option 2: Platypus encounter plus winery lunch tour (PVPLL2) Includes: Entry to Healesville Sanctuary and Platypus experience plus two course lunch with two glasses of wine.

Days of operation:
  • Please contact Oceania Tours for full tour details and to find a date. Please note that this tour books out months in advance due to limited platypus encounters available at Healesville Sanctuary.
