The Mornington Peninsula's first licensed winery began in 1975 when local wine making pioneers Nat and Rosalie White saw the potential of the site that would become Main Ridge Estate.
Perched high in Arthurs Seat enjoying a maritime climate that ensured no frost or excessive heat, the gentle north-east slopes of volcanic soil were ripe with promise.
Today, 40 year old deep rooted Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines provide exceptional 100% Estate grown fruit. The wine is carefully made to express the terroir of this iconic vineyard.
After four decades building an enviable winemaking reputation, the Whites retired in 2015 and passed the Sexton family a beautiful property in a wonderful community.
Main Ridge Estate is their home and they greet guests in the cellar door every weekend, and every day during holiday periods.
Visitors enjoy fine wine, simple casual lunches and views of the quiet bush valley from the sundeck - or can sit by the fire in the historic working winery. This is also the venue for wine tastings, wine dinners and concerts.
Main Ridge Estate look forward to sharing their idyllic vineyard and enjoying the good life with you.
