The River Country Adventours Kanyapella Safari begins at Wyuna, just over two hours due north from Melbourne at the Wyuna campsite.
Paddling slowly with the gentle current towards Yambuna Bridge. Taking your own lunches which can be enjoyed on a remote shady sandbar along the way. The tents and camp will be completely set up, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the pristine surrounds, do a spot of fishing or just relax in the bush listening to all the birds.
On day two they will get you going and back on the canoes down the river. The camp is dismantled and erected again further down stream.
On day three, taking your own lunches, you paddle off downstream on the last leg of the journey. The river flows through the southern section of the Barmah Forest, a natural habitat for many species of water and forest birds. The safari concludes at Stewart's Bridge in Kanyapella and your vehicles will be shuttled to the finish.
All you need to bring is the sleeping bag or doonas, something to sleep on, a pillow, food and refreshments for the camp and safaris and a sense of adventure.
