Get down and dirty with nature. Let the kids run wild in the brand new enchanted Casuarina Forest play space at Healesville Sanctuary. Nature inspired play will include exploring the awesome rock elements, sand pits, sculptures, water pumps and a rustic backyard cubby.
Mums, dads and carers can also grab a coffee or try something from the new menu at the Pavilion Cafe while the kids explore.
This new space is wheelchair accessible for participation in sand and water play.
From 11:00am to 2:00pm each day during the spring school holidays, the Play Maker team will bring out your natural wild child with the following activities.
Become a bush builder and construct your own ‘Gunya’ shelter for a wild day in the bush. Become a Helmeted Honeyeater to ward off predators with face paint and a special dance. Become a bush explorer and forage to make nests in our magical Casuarina Forest. Become a didgeridoo player and learn how to play the didge at Murrundindi’s Didge School.
