Discover a new medium and create five fused glass cabochons to turn into one of a kind jewellery pieces in this warm glass session.
Learn about the different types of glass and how to create basic shapes by cutting, breaking, and shaping with grinders before learning different embellishment techniques using glass paints, powders, stringers, noodles, as well as glass pieces and beads.
Your tutor will also introduce you to dichroic glass, which has a reflective metal coating on one side which creates beautiful effects once fired.
After your two hour class you can explore the regional town of Kyneton, in the heart of the wellness region of Victoria. Shop and feast on historic Pipers Street, explore the natural treasures that surround the town including the Wombat State Forest and Hanging Rock or head over to Daylesford for some relaxation and pampering.
The Old Auction House is open seven days and all work can be collected 10 days from the date of the class. Arrangements can be made to ship work to students if required.
Prices differ for different courses. The fusing workshop is currently $100 for the two hours.
