This coastal village is home to three of the top 50 Australian public access courses as ranked by Australian Golf Digest's Top 100 for 2024–25: Lonsdale Links, 13th Beach Golf Links and Barwon Heads Golf Club.
Tee off at Thirteenth Beach on Nick Faldo's Creek Course or trust your day to the design by Tony Cashmore at the Beach Course (ranked 33rd). The revitalised Lonsdale Links offers a new look and feel place to play that ranks 36th. And the heritage-listed Barwon Heads Golf Club, which is a much lauded favourite, known for its ambience and old-world charm, ranks 23rd.
Other memorable golfing hot spots include the Curlewis Golf Club, which ranks 62th and Queenscliff Golf Club's 'island course'.
