Great rail adventures

Meeniyan was originally established as a train station on the South Gippsland railway line in the late 1800s. The station operated for just over a century and has now been transformed into the spectacular Great Southern Rail Trail, winding 131km through Gippsland as it connects the towns from Nyora to Yarram and Port Albert.

Foodie station

Sink your teeth into Gippsland's outstanding local produce and pick up edible souvenirs for friends and family. Sample products and produce with a distinct Gippsland flavour at The Meeniyan Store or visit  Trulli Pantry & Cellar for an exceptional variety of premium wines and imported deli items.

Local restaurants Mahob at Moos, offering a Cambodian-influenced menu, and Trulli Outdoors, specialising in woodfired pizza, raise the bar for local dining. Meanwhile, Pandesal Bakery specialises in artisanal sourdough loaves ideal for a lazy Sunday breakfast.
