Plate Up Ballarat is an exciting month-long event celebrating Ballarat’s wonderful food offerings, craft beers, boutique wines and a whole lot more. Taking place throughout the month of May 2019, Plate Up Ballarat will showcase local producers whilst also promoting successful and supportive connections between producers, restaurants and cafes.
Continuing the theme of sustainability, this year they are introducing Plant Up Ballarat focusing on plant based eating, and the indelible link between nutrition and wellness.
Sometimes though, food is just about comfort, and there is nothing more comforting than a classic toastie. But be prepared for some creative spins on old classics as part of Toast of Ballarat.
With more than 50 events spanning the 31 days of May, your biggest choice will be not which events to go to, but which ones you have to leave out of your culinary calendar for May.
You also get the chance to sample something different every day, through Lunch Ltd menus.
