Head to the Hotham Biathlon Arena and watch the Sprint race, the fast and furious biathlon race. This time trial event has participants starting at 30 second intervals, skiing three loops plus two bouts of shooting at metal targets, 50 metres away.
Expecting 100 participants, this will be the largest ever Australian Championships, including eight members of the Korean World Cup Team - the competition will be strong and exciting. In addition, there will be the largest ever group of laser biathlon kids taking part, the cutest group you will ever see on skinny skis.
The event starts at 9:30am with zeroing (equipment check and warm up), with race start at 10:30am. Program timing may, by notice, be varied due to snow and weather conditions.
It is free to watch so grab your cheer squad and take the free Snow Bus from Mt Hotham, to the Hotham Biathlon Arena, three kilometres east of the Hotham Alpine Village.
It is the fastest and the most exciting racing you will ever see in lycra.
