Razorback Hut Hike

Mount Stirling Road, Telephone Box Junction, Mount Stirling, Victoria, 3723

Enjoy a guided walk along nice trails that wind through the beautiful Mt Stirling Alpine Resort.
During late spring, summer and autumn, these trails are great for hiking and in winter they transform into snow covered cross country ski trails.

On this hike, you will make a slow ascent to the Razorback Hut, which was, until recent times, still used by local mountain cattlemen. Nowadays, it is a popular destination for hikers, horse riders, four-wheel drivers and cross country skiers. You will get to explore this beautiful hut at your leisure before ambling back towards Telephone Box Junction passing a pretty billabong, perfect for practising your landscape photography and along a trail surrounded by towering Alpine Ash and lush ferns.

This hike is suitable for families with children, recommended from nine years and up. Bring some of their favourite snacks to charge them up during the hike. It is not a difficult hike, but too long for children younger than nine years.
