If it’s in your deli basket, then it’s probably made in Thomastown. The third Taste of Thomastown Food Festival, hosted by Thomastown Neighbourhood House and supported by City of Whittlesea and Yarra Plenty Regional Libraries, celebrates the diversity and abundance of food made, manufactured and produced only 16 kilometres from the city.
Bertocchi Small Goods, That’s Amore Cheese and Oliana Food are but some of the businesses who will join local coffee and pastry manufacturers and other local providores who will offer free tastings, demonstrations and sell their goods at the Taste of Thomastown Food Festival on September 7.
The festival has been enormously popular with hundreds of people flocking to the Thomastown Library to enjoy a tasty day of dips, cheeses, sweets and smallgoods.
This year will see the ever-popular kids’ art studio with food-themed activities on offer throughout the day, live music and workshops from local community garden group Links, Merri Creek Management and plant sales from locally heritage-listed Ziebell’s Farm House.
The Taste of Thomastown Food Festival is being held in the Thomastown Library, Saturday September 7, 2019 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
