Overview

Immerse yourself in Mornington Peninsula's welcoming waters and famed golf courses, as you enjoy an array of adrenaline-boosting activities.

By the water

Try a spot of fishing, paddle around in a sea kayak or dive among old shipwrecks along the coast. Prefer dry land? Why not stroll (or gallop) the beach on horseback.

Swim at calm beaches along the 192 kilometres of coastline and come face-to-face with dolphins, seals and penguins. Ride the waves at wild ocean breaks, set sail from one of dozens of piers, or enjoy a bike ride along beachfront paths. For the high-energy sports lover, there's kite surfing and parasailing.

On dry land

Take in pristine seascapes as you play a round of golf at one of the 19 renowned golf courses on the peninsula. Test your coordination with a spot of tree surfing or get your thrills on zip lines. Alternatively, embark on an epic walk across the peninsula. Keep a lookout for the abundant native wildlife along the way.

Ask a local

If you're curious about trying any of the peninsula's outdoor activities, contact a local activity operator for professional tuition, organised tours and perhaps a regional secret or two.

Plan before you go

Make sure you check weather and terrain conditions and pack plenty of water before you embark on an outdoor adventure. Keep up-to-date with the latest warnings and advice via the Parks Victoria and Vic Emergency websites.
