Bring your bike and an adventurous spirit and all you'll need is a couple of days to explore the myriad attractions crammed into compact Phillip Island. Don't have your own bike? Don't worry, you can hire one from Super Cruzer E-Bike Hire and still make the most of the island.
Cycle between attractions
Start at San Remo and follow the dedicated bike path through sleepy seaside villages and on to Cowes. Stop off at the Koala Conservation Centre, A Maze'N Things and the National Vietnam Veterans Museum along the way. The ride can be done in either direction.
Explore the history of Churchill Island, and fill your panniers with produce from the monthly market.
Make the Esplanade in Cowes a focal point for casual beachfront cycling. Stop for a splash and a picnic, or earn your swim by cycling to the island's many other beautiful beaches.
Island trails
Bush to Bay
Cycle seven kilometres along the mangroves from the Koala Conservation Centre to Rhyll and spot rare migratory wading birds and other wildlife.

Embark upon a one-hour walk or shorter cycle from the Penguin Parade to the carpark at Point Grant, which takes you along a small unsealed road for coastal views.
Churchill Island
Opt for the five-kilometre track around the historic island's lovely gardens or the two-kilometre North Point Loop. Note there is an admission fee for the homestead and gardens.
