Day 1

Arrive Melbourne

Start your golfing holiday in Melbourne, known for its innovative dining scene, fashion, and high profile sporting events.

Melbourne is home to the famous Sandbelt corridor – making it a true 'golfing great'.

Here, you'll find eight of the best golf courses in Australia. These clubs have played host to countless great championships including the Australian Open, Johnnie Walker Classic, Australian Masters, World Match Play Championship, Women's Australian Open, and the Presidents Cup.

Sweet digs and foodie treasures

Take your pick from a wide range of hotels across the CBD, from five-star luxury to boutique apartments.

Settle into your new digs and then hit the streets to discover Melbourne's renowned dining scene.

Finish your evening with a nightcap and a twinkling night sky views at one the many unique bars situated by the river or high on a city rooftop.

Day 2

Golf at Commonwealth Golf Club

Start the day at the Commonwealth Golf Club, in the heart of Melbourne's rolling Sandbelt country.

It's widely known as a course where fairway bunkering and the orientation and contours of the green dictate the strategy. The finishing stretch is memorable in both design and variety. The 16th sweeps around a natural lake to a beautifully sited green with a severe tilt from right to left.

The historic 1920s clubhouse is regarded as the grandest on the sandbelt, with majestic views across the first and last holes.

Street art and laneways

After your round, make your way back to the hotel in Melbourne's city centre, and swap your shoes, ready to hit the streets for a little adventure.

Explore Melbourne's creative laneways. Admire stencils and street art in Hosier Lane and browse artworks in independent galleries.

Pop in at NGV Australia, Federation Square, for Australian art and sculpture, then head off in search of the perfect pre-dinner cocktail in a laneway bar.

Pubs more your style? Refuel with pub grub and a beer at historic pubs and beer gardens.

Day 3

Golf at The Royal Melbourne Golf Club

Spend the day at acclaimed Royal Melbourne Golf Club, the number one course in Australia, and number five in the world according to Golf Digest.

Designed by Alister McKenzie, Royal Melbourne West is possibly the most famous of Australia's golf courses. Both East and West tracks are renowned as some of the best golf layouts in the world (both are ranked in the US Golf Digest World Top 100).

Explore the peninsula

Golfing over for the day, load the clubs in the boot and cruise on down to the Mornington Peninsula, where ocean views, rolling hills, and fine food and wine await.

Check out cellar doors along the Wine Food Farmgate Trail, and then dine in an award-winning winery restaurant, where innovative chefs turn the region's bountiful produce into seasonal feasts.

Relax and unwind in the opulent surrounds of Jackalope, a hotel that offers a wondrous blend of hospitality and creativity.

Day 4

Golf at St Andrews Beach, Mornington

St Andrews Beach Golf Course is situated in the famous Cups Region of the Mornington Peninsula and is ranked Australia’s fifth best Public Access Course by Golf Australia Magazine. Designed by world renowned architect, Tom Doak, the course features dramatic undulations, subtle creases and hollows.

This classic 18-hole links-style members’ course is open for public access play, and has maintained the position of number one public access course on the Australian mainland.

St Andrews Beach Golf Course has a fully-licensed, rustic-style clubhouse, featuring al-fresco decking offering snacks and light meals. It also has a full fleet of motorised carts and club sets available for hire, and can cater for groups of any size.

Wineries and hot springs

Reward your efforts on the greens with a late lunch and wine tasting at the renowned Montalto winery. Follow it up with a stroll through the winery’s beautiful vineyard and sculpture garden. Finish your peninsula adventure with an evening at the stunning Peninsula Hot Springs, where you can while away a few hours in a natural thermal mineral spa while watching the sun go down across the surrounding hills.

Day 5

Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club

Head back to Melbourne and pause for one more round at Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club.

The club has two excellent layouts, both ranked in the nation's top 50.

The north course is built on sandy high ground with views to Port Phillip Bay. Strategic bunkering and heath land grasses have really transformed the layout.

On-site accommodation extends to 18 rooms, with eight in the new clubhouse and 10 remote style, situated on the golf course. You can stay the night here, or head back to the CBD for another evening of laneway-hopping and live entertainment.
