The weather may be cooling down,  but Melbourne is just heating up – bursting with fashion, food, fast cars, and plenty of belly laughs as the city becomes a hive of activity.

At Her Majesty’s Theatre, the curtain finally opens on Lin-Manuel Miranda’s long-awaited hip-hop take on the American revolution in Hamilton.

Passion and flair aren’t just relegated to the stage. Catch some of Australia’s most loved designers as they strut their stuff during the Melbourne Fashion Festival. And cosy up with some of the city’s best chefs and producers during the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, with dining events scattered right across the city.

Meanwhile, listen out for the vroom of race cars burning up the track at the Australian Grand Prix, see some of the country’s hottest comedic acts at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, or immerse yourself in the National Gallery of Victoria’s thoughtful exploration of LGBTQ+ history in Queer.

In between the big events, Melbourne’s cobblestone laneways are begging to be explored and the city’s parks come alive with a soundtrack of crunching leaves. Grab your scarf and let’s go!
