Captivating River Country

First making an appearance in 2021, Moama Lights is an annual winter spectacular that celebrates the wonders of nature through an ever-changing display of colour, sound and local art. The event is typically held over four weekends in winter. 

Uncover a world of enchantment as night descends over Horseshoe Lagoon and clever art and light installations transform the natural landscape. From illuminated ripples dancing on the water's surface to projections of children's artworks onto the landscape, with complementary music and sounds floating through the air, Moama Lights is an experience for all the senses. Event organisers work with local schools and artists to design the experience, ensuring it is a representation of local cultures and homegrown talent. 

In previous years, an ice skating rink has also popped up alongside the main event.
